Woodrow Wilson was born on December 28, 1856 in Staunton, Virginia in the home of his parents. His father was a Presbyterian minister in Staunton at the time and the house provided for the pastor was referred to as a manse. The original building is now part of the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library and Museum. It is open to the public to visit.
